Drying of chemical pulps There are two main types of pulp mill: integrated mills and stand-alone mills. In integrated mills, the pulp is produced and consumed on site (i.e., converted into paper or paperboard). In stand-alone mills, the pulp is produced for delivery to another consumer by truck, train or ship. To ensure good final
