Drying section components A cylinder drying section is composed of several components and machine elements. These include e.g.: Drying cylinders Vacuum rolls Turn and lead rolls Runnability components Tail threading components Hood (part of ventilation and heat recovery system) Cylinders and vacuum rolls Paper dryers are typically cast iron cylinders with heads of cast iron.
