Stakeholder relations and communication Large industrial investments can easily create controversies, at least with some stakeholders. Controversy often grows from mistrust, which in turn, is fuelled by lack of knowledge or, at times, principal disagreement. Sometimes controversy can even be an outcome of deliberate actions by stakeholders with opposite interests to those of a project.
