Colour Stripping The colour of deinked pulp results from either pigmented inks or dyes. Pigmented inks are added mainly during printing whereas dyes can be added at different stages. Dyes can be added during paper manufacturing to adjust the shade (low addition) or to produce a coloured paper (tinted paper), requiring larger addition of dyes.
