Paper for recycling

(PfR) This term includes all types of used paper and board products recovered and used for the manufacture of paper and board or for other industrial purposes. Formerly known as waste paper or recovered paper, paper for recycling can be pre- consumer material obtained during converting operations of paper and board such as broke or cuttings. Paper and board products collected from consumers is post- consumer material and comes from households, offices, or supermarkets. Post-consumer paper for recycling grades are the dominating in the European Standard EN 643. When processed into pulp, paper for recycling becomes recycled fibre (RCF) or recycled pulp.Â
