4. Purpose of gathering personal information

The register is used for customer communications and marketing. Email addresses are collected to contact users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages and to provide our users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support.

The information can be used for the direct marketing of Paperi ja Puu Oy and Forest Products Engineers (PI).

Collected data may also be used for surveys and research purposes.

5. Content of the register

Customer register contains email address and other information given by the customer.

6. Sources of information

All personal data is given by the customer when registering into the mailing list.

7. Principles of data storage

Information in the register is processed only by the personnel of Forest Products Engineers (PI) / Paperi ja Puu Oy and persons hired specifically for the task by Forest Products Engineers (PI) / Paperi ja Puu Oy. The information is confidential to all employees processing the data.

The website is hosted by Seravo Ltd., registered in Finland. Data is stored on secure servers behind a firewall in Finland.

8. Releasing information to third parties or outside the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA).

The information is transferred to third parties only if required by the marketing and communications systems. We may transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA. When personal data is processed outside the EU/EEA, we make sure that the subcontractor has committed to use the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses and/or is covered by the Privacy Shield -system.

9. Right to inspect personal data

Anyone in the register has the right to go through the personal information collected to the register and receive copies of it. The request for this information must be done by contacting the party mentioned in section 2.

10. Correcting information

The register holder corrects, deletes or completes any information if its outdated, incorrect or unnecessary. Also, the customer has the right to request any of these procedures. This request must be done by contacting the party mentioned in section 2.

11. Right to decline

The customer has the right to decline any direct marketing, sales or research. Declining from these procedures must be done by contacting the party mentioned in section 2.
